Prescott's RV

Dirt smudge fingered climb into the gray
charcoal spring etching an insistent purge
across the course of months.  Riding
passenger in Prescott's RV on the way
to pick up an old cobweb muddled
rust-bucket grill for the backyard.
George (Prescott) keeps the AM frequency
radio on conservative talk shows for
the sake of a good laugh as the RV
bounces, creaks and jiggles through
intersections, slickery turn into
a quick-stop off of 72nd street
on the wet rain soaked concrete
              oil slick.

The land exhales our industry in
a rusty dirt cough steaming up
             the sky.
